a dormi, ‘to sleep;’ a omorî, ‘to murder.’

Indicative Present.

eŭ dorm, ‘I sleep.’ eŭ omor, ‘I murder.’
tu dormĭ, tu omo,
el dórme, el omó,
noĭ dormin, noĭ omorîm,
voĭ dormiṭĭ, voĭ omorîṭĭ,
eĭ dorm, or eĭ dórme, (in verse,) eĭ omor or omó.

Many verbs have a prolonged form in esc for the three persons singular and the third plural:

a iubi, ‘to love;’ a pîrî, ‘to speak ill.’
eŭ iubesc, ‘I love.’ eŭ pîrĕsc, ‘I speak ill.’
tu iubeṣtĭ, tu pîrĕṣtĭ,
el iubeṣte, el pîreṣte,
noĭ iubim, noĭ pîrîm,
voĭ iubiṭĭ, voĭ pîrîṭĭ,
eĭ iubesc, eĭ pîrĕsc.

The same occurs in the present conjunctive and imperative.

Imperfect.

eŭ dormiam, ‘I slept.’ eŭ omoriam, ‘I murdered.’
tu dormiaĭ, tu omoriaĭ,
el dormia, el omoria,
noĭ dormiam, noĭ omoriam,
voĭ dormiaṭĭ, voĭ omoriaṭĭ,
eĭ dormiaŭ, eĭ omoriaŭ.
