Authorship[edit]

This labels the author as "G. Schüller", while the German labels it as "R. Schüller". I believe the German is likely the original for the following reasons, admitting that this is mostly on the balance of probabilities rather than anything definitive

  • Schüller is a German name
  • The German version in the footnote refers to the publisher and page as "Gegner den Strom, S. 410 f." The English version merely says "Against the Stream".
  • The only location of "Kernheizev" as a transliteration is in this work, the German transliteration is "Kerschenzew"
  • The mention about the need for a Russian / German translation, indicating familiarity with what is circulating in those languages rather than the other way around.

If so, Richard Schüller is a good bet as the author. MarkLSteadman (talk) 23:54, 20 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
