Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974, amendment. Appropriation authorization. 15 USC 2210.

To authorize appropriations for the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That (a) section 17 of the Federal F i r e Prevention and Control Act of 1974 (15 U.S.C. 2216) is amended to read as follows: "AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS

" SEC. 17. There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out the foregoing provisions of this Act, except section 11 of this Act, not to exceed $3,750,000 for the transitional fiscal quarter of July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, not to exceed $15,000,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1977, and not to exceed $20,000,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1978.". (b) Section 16(b) of the Act of March 3, 1901 (15 U.S.C. 278f (b)) is amended to read as follows: " (b) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.—For purposes of

this

section, there are authorized to be appropriated not to exceed $1,275,000 for the transitional fiscal quarter of July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, not to exceed $5,500,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1977, and not to exceed $6,000,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1978.". Approved September 13, 1976.
