COOPERATION

SEC. 6. The Commission is authorized to request from any Federal department or agency any information and assistance it deems necessary to carry out its functions; and each such department or agency is authorized to cooperate with the Commission and, to the extent permitted by law, to furnish such information and assistance to the Commission \\Y)on request made by the Chairman or any other member wlien acting as Chairman. COMMISSION: TERMINATION

SEC. 8. In order that the President and the Congress may be kept advised of the progress of its work, the Commission shall, from time to time, report to the President and the Congress such significant findings and recommendations as it deems advisable. The Commission shall submit an interim report to the President and the Congress one year after it is established and shall submit its final report two years after the enactment of this Act. The Commission shall cease to exist sixty days after the date of the submission of its final report. AUTHORIZATION OK A IMPROPRIATIONS

SEC. 0. There are hereby authorized to be aj^propriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, such amounts as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act. Approved March 16, 1970.

Public Law 91-214 AN ACT To amend Public Law 89-260 to authorize additional funds for the Library of Congress James Madison Memorial Building.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Bejyresentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 3 of the joint resolution entitled "Joint resolution to authorize the Architect of the Capitol to construct the third Library of Congress building in square 732 in the District of Columbia to be named the James Madison Memorial Building and to contain a Madison Memorial Hall, and for other purposes", approved October 19, 1965 (79 Stat. 986), is amended by striking out "$75,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$90,000,000". SEC. 2. Nothing contained in the Act of October 19, 1965 (79 Stat. 986), shall be construed to authorize the use of the third Library of Congress building authorized by such Act for general office building purposes. Approved March 16, 1970.
