TITLE III PROCUREMENT PROCUREMENT OF EQUIPMENT AND MISSILES, ARMY

For expenses necessary for the procurement, manufacture, and modification of missiles, armament, ammunition, equipment, vehicles, vessels, and aircraft for the Army and the Reserve Officers' Training Corps; purchase of not to exceed one thousand three hundred and fifty-nine passenger motor vehicles for replacement only (including twenty at not to exceed $2,900 each); expenses which in the discretion of the Secretary of the Army are necessary in providing facilities for production of equipment and supplies for national defense purposes, including construction, and the furnishing of Governmentowned facilities and equipment at privately owned plants; and ammunition for military salutes at institutions to which issue of weapons for salutes is authorized; $1,407,300,000, to remain available until expended. AIRCRAFT AND RELATED PROCUREMENT, NAVY

For construction, procurement, and modernization of aircraft, missiles, and equipment, including ordnance, spare parts, and accessories therefor; specialized equipment; expansion of public and private plants, including the land necessary therefor, with40 USC 259,267. Qut regard to section 3734, Revised Statutes, as amended, and such lands, and interest therein, may be acquired, and construction prosecuted thereon prior to approval of title by the Attorney General as so use 175. required by section 355, Revised Statutes, as amended; procurement and installation of equipment in public or private plants; and departmental salaries necessary for the purposes of this appropriation; $1,961,644,000, to remain available until expended. SHIPBUILDING AND CONVERSION, NAVY

For expenses necessary for the construction, acquisition, or conversion of vessels as authorized by law, including armor and armament therefor, plant equipment, appliances, and machine tools, and installation thereof in public or private plants; procurement, production, and modernization of electronic equipment and material for ships; procurement of critical long lead time components and designs for vessels to be constructed or converted in the future; expansion of public and private plants, including land necessary therefor, without regard to 40 USC 259,267. ggction 3734, Revised Statutes, as amended, and such land, and interests therein, may be acquired and construction prosecuted thereon prior to approval of title by the Attorney General as required by 50 USC 175. section 355, Revised Statutes, as amended; and departmental salaries necessary for the purposes of this appropriation; $1,330,700,000, to remain available until expended.
