Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the UnitedStates of America in Congress assembled, That, notwithstand- ing the provisions of the eleventh category of section 3 of the Immi- gration Act of 1917, as amended (8 U. S . C . 136 (e)), Lawrence G. McCarthy, a native and citizen of Toronto, Canada, whose wife is a citizen and resident of the United States, may be admitted for perma- nent residence under the Immigration Act of May 26, 1924, if he is found otherwise admissible under the provisions of immigration laws. [CHAPTER 110] AN ACT For the relief of Maria Veltri Magnone. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That notwithstand- ing the provisions of the second category of section 3 of the Immi- gration Act of February 5, 1917 (8 U. S. C. 136 (a)), or any provisions of the Act of March 4, 1929, relating to entry after deportation (8 U. S . C . 180), Maria Veltri Magnone, the wife of a citizen of- the United States, and the mother of a United States citizen daughter, may be admitted to the United States for permanent residence: Pro- vided, That she is found otherwise admissible under the provisions of the immigration laws. Approved May 14, 1949. [CHAPTER 111] AN ACT Authorizing the Secretary of the Interior to issue a patent in fee to Phena M. Anderson. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior is hereby authorized and directed to issue to Phena M. Anderson, of Spokane, Washington, a patent in fee to the follow- ing-described lands allotted to her on theBlackfeet Indian Reserva- tion, Montana: The east half of the northeast quarter of section 30, township 37 north, range 10 west, Montana principal meridian, containing eighty acres. SEC. 2. Said patent in fee when issued shall contain a reservation to the United States of the oil, gas, and all other mineral deposits as provided in the Act of June 30,1919 (41 Stat. 16).
