MAY 15, 1936 . adding, typewriting, billing, computing, mimeographing, multi- graphing, photostat, and other duplicating machines and devices, including their exchange and repair ; telegraph and telephone service ; traveling expenses of officers and employees while traveling on official business ; freight, express, drayage ; tabulating cards, sta- tionery, and miscellaneous office supplies ; books of reference and peri odicals ; furniture and equipment ; ice, water, heat, light and power ; street-car fare ; and all other necessary and incidental exp enses not in cluded in th e fore going, $330, 000, o f whic h amou nt not to exceed $77,230 may be expended for personal services in the Dis trict of Col umbia ; Lists of foreign buyers : For all necessary expenses, including personal services in the District of Columbia, purchase of furniture and equipment, stationery and supplies, typewriting, adding, and computing machines, accessories and repairs, lists of foreign buyers, books of refer ence, pe riodical s, repor ts, docu ments, plans, s pecifica - tions, rent outside of the District of Columbia, traveling expenses of officers and employees, and all other incidental expenses not included in the foregoing, to enable the Bureau of Foreign and Dom estic Commer ce to collec t and compil e list s of f oreign buyer s, $47,900 : Provided, That the Secretary of Commerce may make such charges as he deems reasonable for lists of foreign buyers, special stati stical servi ces, s pecial commo dity n ews bu lletin s, and World Trade Directory Reports, and the amounts collected therefrom shall be deposited in the Treasury as "Miscellaneous receipts"

In vestig ation of for eign t rade r estric tions : For all necessary expenses, including personal services in the District of Columbia, purchase of furniture and equipment, stationery and supplies, type- writi ng, ad ding, and co mputin g mach ines, access ories and re pairs, books of reference and periodicals, reports, documents, plans, specifications, manuscripts, and all other publications, rent outside of the District of Columbia, traveling expenses of officers and employees, and all other incidental expenses not included in the fo reg oin g, to enable the Bureau of Fo re ign and Dom est ic Co m- merce to collect and compile information regarding the restrictions and regulations of trade imposed by foreign countries, $96,200 ; Transportation of families and effects of officers and employees To pay the traveling expenses and expenses of transportation, under such regulations as the Secretary of Commerce may prescribe, of families and effects of officers and employees of the Bureau of Fo rei gn and Domestic Com me rce in going to and returning fr om their posts, or when traveling under the order of the Secretary of Commerce, and also for defraying the expenses of preparing and transporting the remains of officers and employees of the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce who may die abroad or in transit, while in the discharge of their official duties, to their former homes in this country, or to a place not more distant, for interment, and for the ordinary expenses of such interment, $38,600

Allowances for living quarters : To enable the Secretary of Com- merce, under such regulations as he may prescribe, in accordance with the provisions of the Act entitled "An Act to amend the Act entitled `An Act to establish in the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce of the Department of Commerce, a Foreign Commerce Service of the United States, and for other purposes', approved March 3, 1927", approved April 12, 1930 (U . S. C ., title 15, sec. 197f), to furnish the officers in the Foreign Commerce Service of the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce stationed in a foreign country, without cost to them and within the limits of this 1335 Lists of for eign buy- ers .
