Chap. 1969.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to Edward M. McCook.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Edward M. McCook, late brigadier-general, United States Volunteers, and pay him a pension at the rate of seventy dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Edward G. Horne, late of Company B, Battalion Mississippi Riflemen, war with Mexico, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Samuel R. Shankland, late of Company A, Second Regiment California Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Laura M. Gillmore, widow of Quincy A. Gillmore, late colonel Corps of Engineers, United States Army, and brigadier-general and major-general, United States Volunteers, and pay her a pension at the rate of fifty dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving.
