109 STAT. 248 PUBLIC LAW 104-19-JULY 27, 1995 of temporary bridges necessary to the performance of emergency tasks and essential community services; warning of further risk or hazards; dissemination of public information and assistance regarding health and safety measures; provision of food, water, medicine, and other essential needs, including movement of supplies or persons; or reduction of immediate threats to life, property, and public health and safety. (b) ACTIONS TO DETERMINE LAWFUL STATUS. —Each Federal entity or official receiving funds under this Act shall take reasonable actions to determine whether any individual who is seeking any benefit or assistance subject to the limitation established in subsection (a) is lawfully within the United States. (c) NONDISCRIMINATION.— In the case of any filing, inquiry, or adjudication of an application for any benefit or assistance subject to the limitation established in subsection (a), no Federal entity or official (or their agent) may discriminate against any individual on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, or disability. FEDERAL ADMINISTRATIVE AND TRAVEL EXPENSES (RESCISSIONS) SEC. 2007. (a) Of the funds available to the agencies of the Federal Government, other than the Department of Defense—Military, $325,000,000 are hereby rescinded: Provided, That rescissions pursuant to this paragraph shall be taken only from administrative and travel accounts: Provided further, That rescissions shall be taken on a pro rata basis from funds available to every Federal agency, department, and office in the Executive Branch, including the Office of the President. (b) Of the funds available to the Department of Defense— Military, $50,000,000 are hereby rescinded: Provided, That rescissions pursuant to this paragraph shall be taken only from administrative and travel accounts: Provided further. That rescissions shall be taken on a pro rata basis from funds available to every agency, department, and office. Listing. (c) Within 30 days of enactment of this Act, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget shall submit to the Committees on Appropriations of the House and Senate a listing of the amounts by account of the reductions made pursuant to the provisions of subsections (a) and (b) of this section.
