Irene.

[With a wild smile.] Oh no—I myself have a resource against that.

Professor Rubek.

Irene.

[Drawing out the knife.] This!

Professor Rubek.

[Tries to seize it.] Have you a knife?

Irene.

Always, always—both day and night—in bed as well!
