HEART
Kiss me for this, and kiss me for that, and love me all you will;
My heart's been starving; you'll never fill
Its empty and aching and hollow void—
It's thirsting, panting, for souls in accord.
No, never stop with your love and caress,
I could not live now with anything less.
Give me full measure of all that is sweet,
Let me this treasure of happiness keep,
I have had my full share of all of the rest,
Now I must ask for all love that is best.
My heart has been squeezed from its rightful part;
Give it its birthright; Great Love, a Great Heart.
