There morning through the autumn trees
Sheds beams of fairest light;
Like hope, whose radiance never leaves
The stricken in his blight.

THE STAR OF BETHLEHEM.
"When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy." Matthew ii. 10.

Oh, may that star direct our way
To realms of everlasting day,
Where, undefil'd, we may find rest

We will rejoice when thou "appear,"
And when to glory we draw near;
Oh, blessed "Light," direct our way
To realms of everlasting day!
