But as Baudrillard keenly observes, we are never identical or present to ourselves, and that the impossibility of reducing the meaning making process, is to embrace a “radical alterity” (2000, p. 71). Die Antwoord is an embrace of alterity and the confusion and discomfort that exist within the notion of difference.
