self for communion, fasted, observed the proper prayers at home and at church. While listening to divine service, I tried to grasp every word of it and gave it a meaning every time I could. At mass the most important words for me were: “Let us love each other in unity of thought!” The following words, “In singleness of thought we profess the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost,” I omitted, because I could not understand them.
