The upper part of the facade differs, how- ever, considerably from that of the examples just quoted. A great ilfifP': rose-window, of elegant but ill-understood tracery, takes the place of the arcades, and, with the sculptural arch over it, completes all that remains of the orio-inal design. The plain pieces of walling that sup- port the central vtindow are parts of a modern repair.
