I must own, I have not that Respect for the Company of Annotators, which they generally meet with in the World. Some indeed must be excepted; but Youths are not capable of using the Best, and the Worst are not worth regarding: For which Reason the Celebrated Dr. BUSBY strictly forbad the Use of Notes, and for our Greek and Latin Authors we had nothing but the plain Text in a correct and chaste Edition.
