condition of captivity, than which nothing was more bitter in the Warrs of the Ancients. Free, noble, Men, Women and Children, all sorts were hurried away by the Victour; and who knowes but it was into eternal slavery? Into slavery it was. The footsteps of which, I justly rejoyce, have not been nor yet are in the Christian World. 'Tis true the Turks practise it, nor is there any thing that ought to render that Scythian Tyranny more detestable or dreadfull to us.
