Begin at junction of US 99 and Interstate Route 5 in Los Angeles, thence east with US 70 via Alhambra, West Covina, Ontario, Redlands, Beaumont, Banning to junction with US 70 south of Indio, thence southerly via Oasis, Westmoreland, Brawley and El Centro to southern terminal of US 99 in Calexico.

US Route 99W
Elimination of a Route

APPROVED

Begin at junction of US 99W and US 998 at Red Bluff, thence southerly via Orland, Williams and Woodland to junction with US 40 one mile southwest of Davis, thence to junction with US 998 and US 99 in Sacramento.

US Route 99E
Redesignation as US Route 99

APPROVED

Begin at junction of US 99W and US 99B at Red Bluff, thence southerly via Chico and Marysville to junction with US 40 in Roseville, thence to junction with US 99W and US 99 in Sacramento.

US Route 101
Elimination of a portion

Beginning at junction of US 101 and US 60-70 in Los Angeles, thence southerly via Anaheim, Santa Ana, San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Del Mar, San Diego, National City and Chula Vista to the southern terminus of US 101 at the International Boundary south of San Ysidro.

US Route 101 Alternate
Elimination of an Alternate Route

Beginning at junction of US 101 and US 101 Alternate in El Rio, thence southerly via Oxnard, Santa Monica, El Segundo, Redondo Beach, Long Beach, Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, to the junction with former US 101 at Doheny Park near Capistrano Beach.

US Route 101 BP
Redesignation as US Route 101

Begin at junction of US 101 and US 101 BP in San Francisco, thence southerly via South San Francisco to junction with US 101 and US 101 BP 8 miles south of San Jose. (This route is over the Bayshore Freeway.)

Beginning at junction of US 299 and US 395 at Alturas, thence westerly via Canby, Adin, McArthur, Round Mountain, Bella Vista, Redding, Douglas City, Weaverville, Willow Creek and Blue Lake to junction with US 101 two miles north of Arcata.
