Bio Notes: Robert Mackay was born in 1849, the son of John Mackay, plasterer, and his wife Janet. In 1891 he is described as a draughtsman and is living with his brother and sister in Athole Street, Perth. He was in partnership with William Maclaren in Perth from about 1896 or 1897. He does not appear in the British Architectural Library/RIBA 'Directory of British Architects 1834-1914'. He died suddenly at 23 Barossa Place, Perth on 23 December 1929. Nothing more is yet known.
