Yorke, Philip, 2nd Earl of Hardwicke; created D.C.L. 22 June, 1770 (s. Philip, 1st Earl), a teller of the Exchequer 1738, M.P. Reigate 1741-7, of Cambridgeshire 1747-64, F.S.A. 1744, F.R.S. 1749, created LL. D. (Corpus Christi Coll.) Cambridge 1749, and high steward 1764, died 16 May, 1790. See Foster's Peerage.
