Christ Church, matric. 12 June, 1789, aged 17; B.A. 1793, M.A. 1796, F.R.S., bar.-at-law, Lincoln's Inn, 1799, K.C. 1821, and a bencher 1822, a commissioner of bankrupts 1801, deputy recorder of Oxford 1805, recorder 1806, serjt.-at-law 1830, a judge in the Court of King's Bench 1830 (knighted 17 Nov.), until his death 11 Jan., 1835.
