Park, Sir James Allan, knight; created D.C.L. 20 June, 1834 (s. James, of Edinburgh, surgeon), bar.-at-law, Lincoln's Inn, 1784, vice-chancellor Duchy of Lancaster 1791, recorder of Preston 1795, and of Durham 1802, K.C 1799, attorney-general of Lancaster 1811, a judge of Common Pleas 1816 (knighted 14 May, 1816), until his death 8 Dec., 1838.
