Moncreiff, James, s. Henry, of Edinburgh, Scotland, (soi-disant) baronet. Balliol Coll., matric. 30 Nov., 1793, aged 17; B.C.L. 1800, a member of the Faculty of Advocates 26 Jan., 1799, a lord of Session and justiciary, Scotland, 1829, until his death 4 April, 1851, father of the last named.
