Christ Church, matric. 26 Oct., 1797, aged 17; student 1800-16, B.A. 1801, M.A. 1804, regius prof. of Greek 1811-35, B. & D.D. by diploma 29 April, 1831, preb. of Worcester 1825-8, of St. Paul's 1833, and of Llandaff 1833, rector of Westwell, Oxon, 1815-47, canon of Durham 1829-31, dean of Christ Church 1831, until his death 2 June, 1855, buried in the cathedral.
