French, Thomas Valpy, 1s. Peter, of Burton-on-Trent, co. Stafford, cler. University Coll., matric. 20 March, 1843, aged 18; B.A. 1846, fellow 1848-53, M.A. 1849, created D.D. 11 Dec., 1877, then bishop of Lahore, vicar of St. Paul, Cheltenham, 1865-9, and of Erith, 1874-5, rector of St. Ebbe, Oxford, 1875-7.
