Drummond, Sir William, Knight of the Crescent, created D.C.L. 3 July, 1810; of Logie Almond, N.B., P.C. 27 June, 1804, F.R.S., London and Edinburgh, M.P. St. Mawes (Nov.), 1795-6, Lestwithiel 1796-1802, envoy extra. and min. plen. to the king of the two Sicilies 1801-3, ambassador to the Porte 1803-4, when he was made a knight of the Crescent, died at Rome 29 March, 1828.
