Merton Coll., matric. 7 June, 1834, aged 18, postmaster 1832-4; scholar Worcester Coll. 1835, B.A. 1838, fellow 1839-47, M.A. 1841, D.D. 1860, Grinfield lecturer (Septuagint) 1863-5, hon. canon Worcester Cathedral 1853, founder and first warden Trinity College School, Stratford-on-Avon, 1872, head-master Bromsgrove Grammar School 1843-67, vicar of Stratford-on-Avon 1867, until his death 1 April, 1879.
