Carrington, Sir Codrington Edmund, knight, created D.C.L. 5 July, 1810, F.R.S., F.S.A., chief justice Ceylon 1801-5, bar.-at-law, Middle Temple, 1829, bencher, knighted 24 June, 1801, M.P. St. Mawes 1826-31 (eldest son of Rev. Codrington Carrington, of Llangattock, co. Monmouth), died at Exmouth 28 Nov., 1849.
